Pasquill has succeeded in achieving CE Mark certification for Trusses and Posi-joists™ manufactured at all of its branches around the UK. Pasquill is the first national manufacturer of its kind to have achieved the certification. The impressive attainment comes well ahead of the 1st July 2013 deadline by when, according to the Construction Products Directive (CPD), all construction products must be CE Marked.
Existing in its present form since 1993, CE marking is a key indicator of a product’s compliance with EU legislation, and is a reliable gauge of superior product quality. In order to be allowed to affix CE marking to its products, Pasquill has been subjected to a careful conformity assessment.
Commenting on the achievement, Philip Pointon, Pasquill’s Quality Manager said:
“Again Pasquill is ahead of the game with achieving the new CE Mark certification, demonstrating its leading role in the industry. Also recognising the company’s excellence in product quality is the certification the company has in ISO9001 quality management, ISO14001 environmental quality management, OHSAS18001 occupational health and safety management, together with Pasquill’s ability to demonstrate adherence to FSC® and PEFC chains of custody.”
The certificate was presented to Pasquill’s MD Stuart McKill by BM TRADA’s CEO, Andrew Abbott at Ecobuild
