The nominations for the 2019 Pasquill Awards is now underway! The annual staff awards recognise the teams and team members who go above and beyond operational excellence.
The six awards; Operations Branch of the Year, Design Centre of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to Pasquill, Innovation Award, Newcomer of the Year, Outstanding Contribution to EHS and Best Collaboration, will be nominated by their colleagues and the winners and finalists will be celebrated at the Pasquill Conference in January 2019.
The 2019 categories are:
Operations Branch of the Year
The Operations Branch of the Year is awarded to the Operations Site that has illustrated operational excellence, consistently produced high quality products, and has provided outstanding service and support to both customers and colleagues.
2018 winners, Buckley has delivered fantastic results such as 100% on time in full since 2015, no quality costs incurred, seven years without a lost time accident and an increase in productivity. All maintained whilst the site sales had grown.
Design Centre of the Year
The Design Centre of the Year is awarded to the Design Centre that has illustrated design excellence, provided exceptional customer service and has contributed significantly to the overall performance of Pasquill.
The 2018 Design Centre of the Year was Redhill Design Centre, who hit the ground running in 2017, delivering a high sales performance and increase in contribution. The team hit their productivity target and over achieved in terms of intake of orders.
Outstanding Contribution to Pasquill
The Outstanding Contribution to Pasquill is awarded to a colleague who has gone above and beyond in their role and in which has benefited the business, their team or local community, in a positive campaign or initiative.
The colleague who won the Outstanding Contribution to Pasquill award in 2018 was Stephen Mullan, Design Consultant in Coventry. Stephen has been an integral part of the integration of Pamir within the business, ensuring all designers were on board as well as, driving improvements in the software in terms of design process and reporting output.
The Innovation Award is awarded to a colleague that has positively displayed one of Saint-Gobain’s Attitudes – be innovate. This colleague will have introduced something new or different to the business, which has gained positive results.
2018’s Innovation Award winners were the team from Inverness. The team were made finalists for this award for their “Trussmas Tree”. Both the design team and operations team took on board the idea and it delivered fantastic results on social media, amongst customers and within the industry.
Newcomer of the Year
The Newcomer of the Year is awarded to a new colleague (an individual that has been with the business more than six months and less than two years) who has made a noteworthy impression in the business since they have started.
The award for Newcomer of the Year 2018 went to Viktorija Berzene, Production Scheduler in Newport. Viktorija had been helpful in introducing new procedures and new ideas to improve production and communication throughout the site.
Outstanding Contribution to EHS
The Outstanding Contribution to EHS is awarded to the colleague that has demonstrated and made a positive Environmental, Health and Safety impact to the business.
2018 Outstanding Contribution to EHS award went to Aleksandr Juraska, Production Supervisor in Redhill. Aleksandr was recognised for this award for his professional approach, attitude and commitment to EHS on a daily basis and has been involved in a number of great improvements to the Redhill site.
This year Pasquill have introduced a new category– Best Collaboration Award - A colleague who has initiated a cross-brand, team or department piece of work that has achieved positive results, benefiting all parties.
